TDavit Geared Trolley

Unlike traditional davits that rely on a fixed lifting point, the TDavit Geared Trolley incorporates an integrated trolley system designed specifically to enhance lifting operations. It allows operators to position loads with greater precision while retaining the ability to securely lock the trolley in place during lifting. This provides the flexibility of a movable lifting point when needed, with the stability and control of a fixed lifting point when the lift demands it.

The TDavit Geared Trolley combines the versatility of the TDavit system with controlled horizontal load movement, enabling operators to accurately position loads without the need to reposition the entire lifting structure. Using the integrated geared trolley and the customer’s choice of compatible hoist, loads can be smoothly traversed across the beam while suspended, providing 865mm to 1665mm of horizontal movement depending on the configuration selected.

This additional range of travel improves accessibility in confined or restricted work areas, allowing operators to lift, position, and lower loads with greater precision and efficiency.

Different working heights, reach requirements, load characteristics, site layouts, and access restrictions often demand a lifting solution that can adapt without compromising safety or efficiency. The TDavit Geared Trolley offers a choice of three column heights and four beam lengths to help users build a system tailored to their specific application and working environment.

Every TDavit configuration also features two pin positions, allowing operators to quickly adjust the lifting geometry using the same system. This enables users to alter the working radius and height of lift to accommodate changing site conditions without requiring additional equipment. The TDavit Geared Trolley is designed around Reid’s universal 65mm kingpin, allowing the system to rotate a full 360° while carrying a load. Rather than having to repeatedly reposition the davit, operators can smoothly move loads through the required lifting path by simply rotating the system around its socket position. This not only improves control during lifting and lowering operations but also helps maintain safer handling of suspended loads throughout the task.

In confined spaces, around obstacles, or in areas with restricted access, the ability to rotate under load provides greater freedom of movement while helping to minimise manual intervention. This can reduce setup adjustments, improve workflow, and allow lifting operations to be completed more quickly and effectively.

Built from lightweight aluminium and finished with a clean anodised coating, the TDavit Geared Trolley is designed to perform reliably in demanding industrial and outdoor environments. The anodisation process increases resistance to corrosion, wear and everyday damage, helping to protect the system throughout its service life while maintaining a professional, low-maintenance finish.
