PortX Base Trailer Hitch
The PortX Base Trailer Hitch provides a secure, vehicle-mounted anchorage solution for work at height. Compatible with the Reid PortX davit range, it supports fall protection, confined space access and rescue operations. Its mobile design enables rapid deployment wherever safe access is required.
Conformity standards
- EN795:2012 Type B & supplied under PPE Regulation 2016/425
- EN1496:2017 with a maximum system rating of 140kg
Integrated Rotation Lock
The PortX Trailer Hitch features an integrated rotation lock that secures the davit in its fall arrest operating position while allowing a 180° arc of rotation when required.
Integrated Rotation Lock
Engineered to support safe and effective fall protection, the rotation lock holds the davit in a fixed position during fall arrest applications, helping maintain consistent system alignment and giving operators greater confidence while working at height.
When recuperation or repositioning is required, the integrated locking pin can be quickly released to enable a 180° arc of rotation, allowing users to transition seamlessly between a secure fall arrest setup and a more flexible operating position.
Modular Design
The PortX Trailer Hitch features a modular construction that simplifies transportation, handling and deployment while maintaining the performance required for lifting and safety applications.
Modular Design
Designed to break down into manageable components, the system can be transported, assembled and dismantled with ease, reducing manual handling demands and making it easier to mobilise between sites. Its modular layout also improves storage efficiency and allows operators to adapt quickly to changing project requirements.
By separating the system into individual components, users benefit from greater flexibility during transport and installation, helping to streamline logistics, minimise setup complexity and maximise productivity on site.
Engineered for Harsh Environments
The PortX Trailer Hitch is engineered to deliver dependable performance in tough working conditions, combining rugged durability with the flexibility and mobility required for modern lifting and safety operations.
Engineered for Harsh Environments
Designed for regular use across industrial, infrastructure and outdoor environments, its robust construction provides the strength and reliability operators need when working in challenging locations. The trailer hitch-mounted design enables rapid deployment between sites, helping teams respond quickly without sacrificing capability or stability.
Finished with a clean, anodised coating for enhanced corrosion resistance, the system is built to withstand exposure to the elements while maintaining its appearance and performance over time. This durable, low-maintenance design helps reduce downtime, extend service life and ensure the PortX Trailer Hitch remains ready for work wherever the job takes it.
Tool free assembly
Tool Free assembly supports rapid setup for operators
Tool free assembly
Designed for rapid deployment, the PortX Trailer Hitch features a completely tool-free assembly process, enabling operators to set up and dismantle the system quickly and efficiently without the need for specialist equipment. This reduces setup time, simplifies operation and helps teams get to work faster.
By eliminating tools and loose components, the PortX Base Counterbalance minimises complexity on site, reduces the risk of lost parts and supports safer, more streamlined operations. The result is a user-friendly solution that maximises productivity while maintaining the flexibility and portability demanded by challenging work environments.
Levelling Feet for Uneven Ground
Integrated levelling feet allow the PortX Trailer Hitch to be deployed securely on uneven ground, expanding the range of locations where lifting operations can be carried out safely.
Levelling Feet for Uneven Ground
Engineered to adapt to challenging site conditions, the levelling feet enable precise adjustment during setup, helping operators establish a stable and secure foundation even when working on irregular surfaces. This increased flexibility reduces site limitations and broadens deployment opportunities.
By maintaining optimum system positioning, the levelling feet enhance stability, improve operator confidence and support safer lifting operations. The result is faster setup, greater operational versatility and consistent performance across a wider range of temporary lifting environments.
Integrated Davit Compatibility system
Integrated locating features within the socket ensure that only compatible davits can be installed, helping operators maintain a safe and compliant system configuration.
Integrated Davit Compatibility system
Designed to prevent incorrect equipment assembly, the integrated compatibility system provides a physical interface that only accepts approved davit configurations. This helps reduce the risk of installation errors and gives operators greater confidence during setup.
By ensuring the correct davit is paired with the base, the system enhances safety, simplifies equipment selection and supports consistent performance across lifting and fall protection applications.
