PortX H-Base
The PortX H-Base provides a secure anchorage solution for confined space access, offering exceptional stability where permanent anchor points are unavailable. Compatible with the Reid PortX davit range, it supports safe, compliant access, rescue and fall protection operations while remaining quick to deploy and easy to position.
Conformity standards
- EN795:2012 Type B & supplied under PPE Regulation 2016/425
- EN1496:2017 with a maximum system rating of 140kg
Lightweight Construction
The PortX H-Base weights just 35kg with the heaviest component being just 12kg.
Lightweight Construction
The PortX H-Bases lightweight design minimises manual handling demands, allowing operators to move and position the system with ease while reducing fatigue and accelerating setup times. This makes the PortX H-Base ideal for applications where equipment must be transported frequently or deployed in difficult-to-access locations.
By combining ultra-lightweight construction with robust performance, the PortX H-Base maximises operational mobility without compromising reliability, enabling users to carry out safety-critical work more efficiently and with greater flexibility across multiple sites.
Adjustable width
The PortX H-Base features adjustments in the width of over 300mm. This provides the user with added versatility.
Adjustable width
Designed to adapt to the environment, the adjustable width allows operators to achieve the optimal setup for varying work locations, expanding the range of situations where the system can be deployed without the need for alternative equipment.
By accommodating different structural layouts, the PortX H-Base maximises versatility and equipment utilisation while simplifying planning and reducing the need for multiple anchorage solutions, helping operators work more efficiently across a wider range of sites.
Integrated rotation lock
The PortX H-Base features an integrated rotation lock that secures the davit forward for fall arrest applications, while allowing a 180° arc of rotation when required.
Integrated rotation lock
Designed to support safe and efficient fall protection, the rotation lock holds the davit in a fixed forward-facing position, helping ensure predictable loading and consistent system alignment during fall arrest use. This provides operators with increased confidence while working at height.
When greater movement is required, the integrated locking pin can be quickly released to enable a full 180° arc of rotation, giving users the flexibility to transition seamlessly between fixed-position safety applications and recuperation operations.
Engineered for Harsh Environments
Designed for demanding work environments, the PortX H-Base combines robust construction with long-term durability to deliver reliable performance in challenging conditions.
Engineered for Harsh Environments
Built to withstand regular use in industrial and outdoor applications, the PortX H-Base is resistant to the rigours of harsh operating environments, helping to maintain performance and reliability where equipment is exposed to demanding site conditions.
Its durable construction minimises maintenance requirements and supports long service life, giving operators confidence that the system will perform consistently across a wide range of environments while maximising uptime and operational efficiency.
Integrated Davit Compatibility system
Integrated locating features within the socket ensure that only compatible davits can be installed, helping operators maintain a safe and compliant system configuration.
Integrated Davit Compatibility system
Designed to prevent incorrect equipment assembly, the integrated compatibility system provides a physical interface that only accepts approved davit configurations. This helps reduce the risk of installation errors and gives operators greater confidence during setup.
By ensuring the correct davit is paired with the base, the system enhances safety, simplifies equipment selection and supports consistent performance across lifting and fall protection applications.
Levelling feet for uneven ground
Integrated levelling feet allow the PortX H-Base to be deployed securely on uneven ground, expanding the range of environments where the system can be used.
Levelling feet for uneven ground
Designed to adapt to challenging site conditions, the levelling feet enable precise adjustment during setup, helping operators achieve a stable foundation without relying on perfectly level surfaces. This reduces site limitations and increases deployment flexibility.
By maintaining optimum system positioning, the levelling feet enhance operator confidence and support safe, efficient operation in demanding environments, ensuring reliable performance wherever the job takes place.
